Tezak Heavy Equipment will host their 4th annual Turkey Trot 5k Run or Walk, Touch-a-Truck and Food Drive on Nov. 13 at 9 a.m. at the Centennial Park Pavilion, located off 4th Street. All proceeds will benefit Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry.
The Turkey Trot race will be run between Centennial Park and Tunnel Drive Trail. Participants are encouraged to set their own pace, dress appropriately, and stay on the designated trail. Water will be provided. The Touch-a-Truck event will take place in the Centennial Park parking lot near the Pavilion and will feature heavy machinery provided by Tezak Heavy Equipment as well as ambulances, police and sheriff cars, and fire trucks. Pre-Thanksgiving dinner will be served at snack stations and festive costumes are encouraged.
Tezak Truck Trophies will be awarded to schools who partook in the food drive at 11 a.m. with non-perishable items counting as a single point and frozen turkeys as ten points each.
