JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A local nor’easter impacted counties across Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia on Friday. It brought heavy rain, gusty winds, beach erosion, tidal flooding and high surf. The nor’easter is expected to continue to bring heavy rain, winds and flooding on Saturday.

On Friday evening, the rain measured from half an inch to an inch as the temperatures, in the 50s to low 60s, were 15 to 20 degrees below average.

Rain will remain persistent on Saturday morning. In general, 2 to 6 inches of rain is expected which is two to three times the average amount of rainfall in November for some areas.

Winds will gust at 50+ m.p.h. Friday evening into Saturday. Far inland Southeast Georgia neighborhoods will see gusts between 25-35 m.p.h.

Rain and winds will gradually diminish Saturday afternoon and night.

No rain expected Sunday for the Jacksonville Jaguars game against the Buffalo Bills.

On Saturday, temperatures will continue to be in the 50s with wind chills in the 40s.

The coast, Intracoastal, and St. Johns River and its tributaries will see flooding due to the high tide and during the heaviest rainfall on Saturday.
