PITTSBURGH — Be ready for quickly changing conditions Wednesday as thunderstorms develop during the day.
Storms will bring gusty winds, heavy rain and lightning, so check the forecast before you head out.
Most of the morning will be dry, but the storm threat will ramp up after lunch.

Some of the strongest storms will have wind gusts topping 50 mph. Heavy rain could lead to localized flooding, especially Wednesday night and Thursday. Severe Weather Team 11 meteorologists will be watching around-the-clock for high water issues. Temperatures won’t be quite as warm Wednesday, but it will still be steamy with highs in the mid-80s.
Unsettled weather will stick around as we head into the holiday weekend, with a few showers or storms still possible.
