Friday, Raiders interim head coach Rich Bisaccia took to the podium and said the Raiders had a clean injury report. Well, that’s sort of true and sort of not.

In terms of current active players, sure the injury report has no designations. But there are several players who are on injured reserve, some of whom are eligible to return and are not back yet.

In total, there are eight players on injured reserve at the moment:

TE Nick Bowers
TE Derek Carrier
RG Denzelle Good
RG Richie Incognito
LB Nicholas Morrow
CB Damon Arnette
CB Trayvon Mullen
S Roderic Teamer

All but Nick Bowers and Roderic Teamer are eligible to return this week. But none will be.

Richie Incognito in particular was supposed to be returning this week. The veteran guard has been out with a calf injury he suffered in August during the scrimmage with the Rams.

Then head coach Jon Gruden first said he hoped Incognito would be back for the opener. Then a few weeks into the season, he pegged the bye week for Incognito’s return.

Now it sounds like he along with the rest of the players on IR will be waiting at least a couple more weeks before returning to the lineup.

“We feel like we got a chance for the Cincinnati week to get some of them back except maybe Nick Morrow that week to possibly start practicing and start their 21 days,” said head coach Rich Bisaccia.

“I’ll know as we get closer into next week and hopefully the week after that, I think Dallas or whatever is after that we’ll have a chance to get two or three of them back just depending on positionally or how they’re coming along.”

The Raiders play the Bengals on November 21st, which means the Raiders don’t expect to have any of the IR players for this Sunday against the Giants or the following week against the Chiefs. And Nicholas Morrow could be out for several weeks after that. He suffered his injury on the same say as Incognito.
