(WSIL) -- We have seen record cold and record heat locally just in the first 8 days of April. The unsettled weather will continue into the weekend. Friday night brings the next chance of rain and it could come in the form of thunderstorms. Afternoon temperatures will warm back into the 70s providing energy to build the chance of storms.
Colder air swirling around the back side of the storm system will drop temperatures Saturday and possible lead to heavy rain dropping on many of us. Best timing for the heavy rain is early Saturday morning with a few sprinkles possible in the afternoon. I will have the latest forecast updates on News 3 WSIL.
