WASHINGTON, D.C. – US Congressmen Fred Keller (R-12th, Kreamer, Pa.) and Dan Meuser (R-9th, Dallas, Pa.) both voted ‘no’ on the 1.2 trillion infrastructure bill.

Rep. Meuser said, “I have strongly supported a standalone transportation, infrastructure, and revitalization bill for months and I worked hard with my colleagues on a bill that would benefit Pennsylvanians and the American people. The American people don’t want us to make government bigger, they want us to make our country better.”

Rep. Keller called the bill irresponsible, “I voted ‘no’ on Speaker Pelosi’s infrastructure bill (Friday) night because it does more to put our kids and grandkids into debt than it does to fix roads, bridges and critical infrastructure that Pennsylvanians rely on. Less than half of this bill goes towards traditional infrastructure.”

The bill was approved in the US Senate more than two months ago and will be become law with President Biden’s signature.
