Heavy fire engulfs North Hills commercial building - LA Daily News

NORTH HILLS — Firefighters extinguished a blaze in a one-story commercial building in North Hills in about 40 minutes early Wednesday morning.

Crews responded to the 15700 block of Roscoe Boulevard, just west of the 405 Freeway, at 12:34 a.m. and found heavy fire coming from the structure, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

“After knocking back the flames from the exterior, firefighters entered the structure to finish off the remainder of the flames,” Prange said.

A total of 42 firefighters extinguished the blaze in 36 minutes and a knockdown was called at 1:10 a.m., he said.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
