Flooding rain chances are in the forecast today for areas of the Mid-South and Southeastern U.S.. This active pattern will likely continue for these areas again on Tuesday and Wednesday. Here is the latest heavy rain forecast.

Showers and heavy storms will keep building today along a cold front and this same cold front will keep the heavy showers and storms in the forecast again for Tuesday in these same areas. An area of low pressure will develop along the front Tuesday and that will take over the forecast for this region by Wednesday.
The latest rainfall forecast is showing heavy rain from the Gulf Coast to the the Atlantic Coast for the Southeast. Some of this rainfall could come in a short period of time, so the risk for flooding will continue to be a major factor in the forecast.
