CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The week will begin with a strong chance of heavy rain and a Flash Flood Watch, but clear skies are coming back by Wednesday night.

Expect showers and storms Monday and Tuesday. The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for our area through Monday night.

Highs will be around 80 early in the week and will drop to around 70 after the storms pass.

Clarksville forecast

Here’s the day-by-day outlook.

Monday: Showers and thunderstorms. Locally heavy rainfall possible. Highs in the upper 70s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 90 percent.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 60s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy. Chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning, then showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs around 80. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 90 percent.

Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy. Showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the upper 50s. Chance of precipitation 80 percent.

Wednesday: Partly sunny with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning, then partly cloudy in the afternoon. Highs around 70.

Wednesday night through Friday night: Mostly clear. Lows around 50. Highs in the lower 70s.

Saturday: Partly cloudy in the morning then clearing. Highs in the mid 70s.
