Are you between the ages of 25 and 65? Do you smoke at least ten cigarettes per day? We are conducting a study on adult daily smokers. If you are over the age of 25 and you smoke, you may be eligible to participate in a study that examines smoking behavior in daily life. As a participant in the study, you will be asked to download an app to your iPhone or Android smart phone and answer questions for one week as you go about your life. You will complete a half hour interview with research staff after the one week is over. All procedures will take place online or through your phone; you will not do any study procedures face-to-face with our staff at this time.

You will need reliable internet service to complete this study.

Please note that this is not a treatment study; we will not be providing smoking cessation services as a part of this research.

Your time is important to us, and you will be compensated up to $150 for a one-week study. You will receive $20 for completing measures online and doing a training session on your phone, $120 for answering questions on your cell phone for one week, and $10 for completing a follow-up phone or video interview. All payments will be made in the form of electronic gift cards to Amazon.com (or Walmart, if you prefer).

If interested, please contact the TEMPT lab (formerly LEAP) at 479-310-0522 and ask about the Smoking Motivation study. You can also email LEAPuark@gmail.com for additional information or visit our website at https://ift.tt/3mmGnRd
