Miley, 27, didn't give much more information on the project or who she's recording it with and a spokesperson for the singer could not be reached for additional comment at press time. It's worth noting, though, that Ozzy Osbourne producer/guitarist Andrew Watt played guitar in Miley's band when she covered Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" on Saturday Night Live in April.
It's been a year of killer covers from Cyrus, who has blessed us with a great version of Blondie's "Heart of Glass," The Beatles' "Help!" and crushing The Cure's "Boys Don't Cry" and The Cranberries' "Zombie" during a virtual Save Our Stages Fest in Los Angeles over the weekend. And, not for nothing, she tore through Temple of the Dog's "Say Hello 2 Heaven" at the 2019 Chris Cornell tribute show.
The singer also transformed her Los Angeles backyard into a disco oasis for her Miley Cyrus Backyard Sessions special edition of MTV Unplugged on Friday. During the gig she tackled Britney Spears' "Gimme More," Nico's 1967 track "These Days," Pearl Jam's "Just Breathe," and a collaboration with sister Noah on "I Got So High That I Saw Jesus."
