PALMER TWP., Pa. - Heavy wind and rain hammered Palmer Township Tuesday. The Bushkill Creek near Bushkill Park spilled over its banks.
Before noon, the water level was rising nearly to the top of the bridge on Bushkill Park Drive. Within minutes the water was over the road and up to the under carriage of some cars and trucks trying to drive through.

Roads were also closed in neighborhoods of Old Nazareth Road. People who live in the area say it is the worst flooding they've seen since the early 2000's.

Lori Hudgins and her family watched the water rise and flood the basements of some of their neighbors.
"Our sump pump has been running since I woke up this morning. I actually went out and bought an extra sump pump just in case it died hoping the power doesn't go out," she said.
