The disabled truck was been removed; center lane reopens.
The state Department of Transportation says there is three miles of southbound congestion between exit 26 in Bridgeport and exit 22 in Fairfield.
EARLIER STORY
A disabled tractor-trailer truck that has closed the southbound center lane is causing some traffic slowdowns on Interstate 95 in Fairfield Wednesday morning.
Traffic cam images showed the truck stopped in middle of the highway.
Traffic speeds are reduced into the mid-30s mph shortly after the disabled truck was reported at 6:05 a.m.
The center lane is closed between exits 22 and 21.
This southbound stretch of I-95 is often the first area for traffic to bottleneck, causing heavy delays during the morning commute.
