Twenty-one Houston-area players earned MaxPreps Preseason Texas All-State honors.

The media outlet, which also crowns national champions, is dishing out preseason honors across the nation. The Texas version has 10 players from Houston with first-team offense honors.

Katy (4) and North Shore (4) lead with the most selections with Shadow Creek (3) just one behind.

Beaumont West Brook safety Bryce Anderson also earned first-team honors as a utility player.
