Anthem has released its COVID-19-tracking and predictive digital platform, C19 Explorer, in partnership with CloudMedx. The tool has five data categories: public health, hospital, economy, social and preventative.
Users can view information on a national, state, county and city level with data on cases, deaths, unemployment, food insecurity and testing. C19 Explorer also includes future hot spot predictions for the next two weeks, one month and six months.
Through a new partnership with Current Health, Dexcom’s continuous glucose monitor can now transmit data directly to Current Health’s remote patient ]-monitoring platform. The integration will be an optional add-on for patients using the Current Health wearable, first for people with diabetes and then for others later this year.
“By incorporating Dexcom’s world-class glucose monitoring capabilities into the Current Health platform, we are now able to offer a complete view of our patients’ health indicators, no matter where that patient is located,” Chris McCann, cofounder and CEO of Current Health, said in a statement. “Through our platform, healthcare providers can easily determine whether a patient needs immediate in-person care, or if they can be better managed from their homes. This is a decision that is especially critical given COVID-19 containment efforts.”
DrChrono will now offer ClearGage’s patient payment estimator into its Practice Management platform. The partnership will allow providers to give patients a price estimation for procedures and treatments while on the phone, during a telehealth visit or at a point-of-care visit. ClearGage’s tool also gives patients the choice to set a personalized payment plan to fit within their budget.
“ClearGage’s partnership with DrChrono was a natural fit given how they are constantly working with their practices to find innovative ways to improve processes through technology,” said Rashawn Allen, the chief revenue officer of ClearGage, in a statement. “Our fully integrated solutions enable providers to automate the collection of patient balances, provide price transparency through cost estimates and offer flexible financing options so patients can get the care they need without facing financial hardship.”
Healthify is adding transportation options to its platform for medical and nonmedical services in a partnership with Ride Health. The collaboration will help people facing transportation barriers get to doctors' appointments, screenings and lab visits, and obtain transportation to support services such as food banks, job training programs, childcare facilities and mental health providers.
“Safe, reliable transportation is one of the most fundamental social determinants of health, yet many of the most vulnerable people in our communities struggle to find rides to take advantage of social services and to access routine medical care,” said Manik Bhat, the CEO of Healthify, in a statement. “At Healthify, our mission is to build a world where no one’s health is hindered by their need. Together with Ride Health we can address the transportation barrier at the national level and make a real difference in the lives of people across the country.”
Following a successful trial, Peppy and Santander U.K. will expand access to Peppy’s menopause platform to all of Santander’s 23,500 employees. The platform will allow employees to chat one-on-one with mental health and menopause practitioners, participate in moderated groups with peers and take online exercises.
“Our partnership with Peppy is a demonstration of our strong desire to support the health and well-being of colleagues at Santander and to recognize the impacts that menopause can have both on them and their families,” said Tim Hinton, the gender sponsor on Santander’s executive committee, in a statement. “This is part of a wider program of activities we are implementing to normalize discussion and support for this important topic.”
LloydsPharmacy is providing access to weight-loss support services via Liva Healthcare’s digital coaching program. The program will be available in all 1,400 stores across the U.K. To qualify, patients must have a BMI of over 27, with weight-related comorbidity, or a BMI above 30.
Through the partnership, participants will get weight-loss medication treatments and free access to Liva’s digital coaching program where users can engage one-on-one with their coach, track nutrition and exercise levels, and participate in peer support groups.
“Healthcare is rightly becoming increasingly personalized, which is why a blended approach of medication, face-to-face appointments and digital support is key to long-lasting results,” said Rune Bech, the cofounder of Liva Healthcare, in a statement.
