NORTHBROOK, IL — The Northbrook Police Department told Patch that a situation at Holly Court from earlier Tuesday night has been resolved and no one was injured. The incident is still under investigation and the police will release more information Wednesday.
According to the police scanner and on-scene reports, a person had barricaded themselves at around 9 p.m. in a home with a firearm. The Northbrook, Deerfield, Glenview, Northern Illinois Police Alarm System and Cook County Sheriff's Office were among many police departments reportedly on the scene.
A source tells Patch that access to the road was cut off as of 9:15 p.m.
The Bannockburn, Riverwoods, Skokie, Barrington, Glencoe, Rosemont, Western Springs, McHenry, Crystal Lake and Zion police departments were also on the scene.
