The rain should weaken some as it pushes into Houston but we'll need to watch it closely. The storms should fall apart overnight. Scattered storms will be around Wednesday but it won't be as heavy or widespread as this evening's rain.
By Thursday, another chance for widespread thunderstorms will appear. We should see a reduction in the storms on Friday.
Chances for heavy thunderstorms will increase over the weekend as a large upper-level storm system blows over Texas. The rain could get heavy at times and drop 1-3" over most of southeast Texas.
