Current & Former Titans land on 2021 NFL Top 100 List - atozsportsnashville.com

Every off-season, NFL Network unveils their “top 100” list of players. The network does not rank these players, but rather, they are voted on by NFL players across the league. In 2020, the Tennessee Titans had five players ranked in the top 100. Those players were Jurrell Casey (71), Ryan Tannehill (68), Logan Ryan (60), Jadeveon Clowney (41), and Derrick Henry (10).

As for 2021, NFL Network is currently releasing their rankings. They’ve announced 70-100 so far. A former Titan and a couple of current Titans have made an appearance.

Corey Davis, WR, New York Jets: #91

Davis comes in at the 91st position on the list after signing with the Jets in the off-season. He compiled 207 receptions for 2,851 yards and 11 touchdowns over the course of his 4-year tenure with the Titans.

Ryan Tannehill, QB, Tennessee Titans: #83

The Titans Quarterback secured the 83rd spot on the list. Tannehill is coming off two of his best seasons as a pro. He’s been one of the most efficient passers in the NFL since he became Tennessee’s starter. Tannehill will have his best group of targets so far this season and could continue to rise up this list. This is a bit low for the QB, but another solid season this year will surely put him into the top 50 range.

Jeffery Simmons, DL, Tennessee Titans: #78

The Titans’ young defensive stud grabs a nod on the top 100 list for the first time in his career so far. Simmons burst onto the scene as a rookie in 2019. He didn’t necessarily fill up the stat sheet (2 sacks, 49 tackles, 5 pass deflections, and 3 fumble recoveries) in 2020, but he was still very disruptive on the defensive line. He’ll look to build on that and this ranking this season. #78 is fair for Simmons so far, but a breakout season in 2021 could launch him up the list.

A.J. Brown, WR, Tennessee Titans: #62

The 24-year-old WR phenom is the second Titans player to make his debut in the top 100. Brown followed up his impressive rookie campaign in 2019 with an even better 2020 season. He recorded 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns in just fourteen games. He may deserve to be a bit higher on this list as he is arguably already a top-10 WR in the NFL, but there are a lot of talented receivers that are still to be named. It’ll be interesting to see who he is behind and where those pass-catchers are slotted. Regardless, expect him to climb even further in these rankings next off-season.

NFL Network will continue to release these rankings over the next week. Expect to see many more current and former Titans added to this list.
