PALM BAY, Fla. – Palm Bay police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that’s prompting a heavy law enforcement presence, according to officials.

Police tweeted around 8:15 a.m. Sunday, saying their officers are OK.

The large police presence is in response to an officer involved shooting. Our officers are fine, suspect is still outstanding. Staging area for media will be at the Post Office at Malabar and Jupiter. A press conference will be held shortly.

The suspect is not in custody, according to the tweet.
