Goose continued their Bingo Tour on Saturday night where they play setlist bingo with fans during a livestream concert from their native Connecticut. The bingo balls led the band through a cover-heavy set which once again featured percussionist Jeffrey Arevalo.
The evening got underway with a “Free Space Jam” — which will occur every night as a bingo card “gimme space” — before the “Reprise Opener” ball popped up. This led to a jam heavy opening sequence that saw Goose eventually finding their way to some blissed-out improv that dropped into the Portuguese language, “Mais Que Nada,” written by Ben Jorge and popularized by Sérgio Mendes. After Rupert Holmes’ “Escape (The Piña Colada Song),” the band played their third Kenny Loggins song of the tour so far with his 1986 iconic hit “Danger Zone,” which appeared on the Top Gun soundtrack.

“Danger Zone” then led into a “Drums” segment that saw all members on some form of percussion which segued into another jam sequence which in turn led into an exercise portion of the evening, this time around featuring the band taking turns completing 50 crunches (the band ran laps the night before, the Bingo Tour shows are being billed as from the “Goose Community Rec Center”). Next, the ball for “Tweekz Reads Poetry” dropped which saw bassist Trevor Weekz doing just that while the rest of the band backed him up poetry open mic night style. Goose brought the first frame to a close with a cover of the Grateful Dead’s “Peggy-O.”
The group opened up the second set by wishing friend and camera operator Marta a happy birthday before offering up a couple of choice covers with The Wood Brothers’ “Atlas” and Billy Joel’s “Moving Out.” The Goose Community Rec Center then saw more exercise when the “1 Minute Beast Pose” ball dropped prompting the band to take turns pulling off the yoga pose front and center while everyone else jammed. Then, halfway through the second set, came the first original of the evening, “White Lights,” as the bingo balls seemed to have a cover-heavy set in mind, confirmed as the band segued into another cover, this time of Laura Branigan’s “Hot Night.”

Goose then fit in, “Your Ocean,” before delivering a rendition of Spoon’s “Inside Out.” Next, the “Mystery Song #3” ball popped up prompting the band to debut Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes” followed by their own “Wysteria Lane” to close out the second set. Goose would remerge for the encore with “Mystery Ball #5” which led to another new song called “726” to close out the cover-laced evening. All in all, the band’s original count didn’t top five songs.
